11/15 DAY 2: Riverboating on the Kumano river, Wakayama.

First thing, we got the chance to riverboat down the magnificent Kumano river, our guide, storyteller as well as flute player guided us through this no-bridge river which goes all the way from Shingu to Hongu.

We've listened and been enchanted by her emperors and empresses stories and by the flute she played. We even had a break in the middle of the trip to meet up with the nature down the road! Such a lovely and unforgetable experience

Accompagning us to the boat, as back to the good old times

Starting the ride

Listening to the guide's storytelling

That small boat's captain was, 96 years old according to what I've heard! As genki-funky as can be :)
Meeting with the rocks half way!

Just climbed onto it!

The lovely scenery around

Playing flute half way, surrounded by calm and quiet nature

06/08 One more year! 29 Springs :)

To the 286 people from whom I've received Birthday mails and messages in 8 languages, during 3 days (thanks to the time difference -partly-) from France, Great-Britain, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, The Philippines, Taiwan, China, Hong-Kong, Palestine, Tunisia, Lebanon, Egypt, Pakistan, The United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Turkey, The United States, Mexico, Canada, Amsterdam, Australia, New Caledonia, Tahiti and Hawaii.
GUYS YOU JUST ROCK !!

You're that very nice gravity that helps me keep my feet on the ground sometimes and fly some other times. You're sometimes pure oxygen as well as laughing gas. You're just so cool.
This year I've not only grown up once but Three times. I'm on the last year of my 20's, I've became (twice in a row!) an aunt for my birthday, and I'll be moving to Dubai at the end of the summer. And as much as those changes can sound radical I can say I'm very happy to grow up, luck is luck as soon as you decide to call it that way yourself. Don't let your happiness be the bastard of your feeling because you don't wanna name it. Acknowledge every single moment of happiness, or luck God, life, nature gave you, At least that's what I've setting my heart on from now!
So, to all of you, in all your effing beautiful languages:

THANK YOU!

03/31 NHK's broadcasting 「テレビでフランス語」's kick off !

Hello everyone ! Sakura time !

This is Olfa, how have you been?
Here comes April, my favorite time of the year, when the weather starts to get warmer, the flowers blooms and the sky turns blue...Okay this is not always true, but let's stick to what our  imagination arbitrarily dictates sometimes.

And I'm sure if you're living in Japan, April is your favorite time of the year too!  Because when I spoke about blooming flowers I was of course referring to the pink Sakura, the cherry-trees blossom, which are famous for turning all Japan pink  at the beginning of the spring.

This is really a blessing to be able to see, even if only for a week, the whole city turned pink by beautiful petals floating at the whim of the wind ....

This beautiful season also marks the starts of studies for the students, work for new employees and it is also a season when people like to kick off new things and try themselves to new challenges!

For this I myself would like to let you know about a new endeavour in my life

Starting from tonight April the 1st 00:00 to 00:25, I'll be presenting the French show (テレビでフランス語) on NHK (NHK Educational on channel 2) and I'm really excited about that !
(Starting on April the 1st does not make it an "April fool" )

An "avant-premiere" from the 3rd episode :)

There will be two broadcatings per week:
◎ Tuesdays evening from 00:00 to 00:25 (so actually Wednesday morning)
◎ Thursday mornings from 06:00 to 06:25!
For the ones abroad, you may also watch on the cable TV, if you're interested (interested in French culture or just out of curiosity.)

Hope you'll enjoy the weather getting warmer!

Cheers !
Love,

Olfa

1/1 Happy Sheep Year Guys :-)

HAPPY NEW YEAR, All the best for this 2015!

May your year be filled with success, -or failure- because it will lead you to success anyway.
May your year be anything and everything but normal, dull, according to expectations.

I'm sure that "A bad experience is better than no experience at all" are words of truth, I'm sure that life doesn't come without pain, for the mere reason it helps us feel it, enjoy it more, understand its value.

Don't we like to have a sweet dessert with our coffee? We do to the extend that some of us will gradually forget about the dessert and have only a coffee, isn't it?

To me it doesn't matter whether your life's bitterness or sweetness is prevailing, just live it, like it, enjoy it and find reasons to laugh because every single time you can. Because this new year too, life doesn't care about your resolutions, it's just giving you the same old challenge. This year like the past one, your only true mission is going to be: To make yourself happy! (And believe me, that is not a piece of cake (even with coffee ;) ))

So, ready? :-)

11/11 Autumn leaves get brown when Autumn leaves.

A ride in Yamanashi, no better mix between the exciting and the refreshing.

On the edge of the rode, that was the best view of the trip, definitely.

Orange leaves, reaching the top.

Miguel's SP2 and my VFR800, she's called Carla by the way and she has a facebook account. lol
(https://www.facebook.com/carlitahonda)
A great light for a great break.

A very calm spot we found.

Great picture with everyone, on the top of the mountain.

Sunset, time to get off the hills.

The women's bath low-angle shot
(being alone there allowed me to turn it into a playground, indeed)

The women's bath from up : )

The women's bath from under.

The women's bath from the center.

Last Green Tea ice cream : )

Just the few pictures of a week-end aimed to farewell Autumn properly.
Stay warm !

12/12 A Belgian waffles with your Sushis?

Rafeyte, a Belgo-Tunisian friend came to visit from her Dubai base. A short summary of her trip : )

Rafeyte is a friend that definitely needs to be featured on this blog, first because she has actually already been, second because she is someone who followed my life (or did I follow her's?) for a very long time. And destiny has been reuniting us no matter our choices in life and the personal and professional paths we choose for ourselves. She first hosted me in her place in Brussels even if I didn't know her at all.

That was probably 8 years ago. Then we've met in Carthage (Tunisia), in Paris and Brittany (France), in Jerusalem, Nablus Bethlehem (Palestine), in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), in Tokyo (Japan) without even traveling together or even living in the same country. Destiny is something you just can't control, just enjoy its vagaries :).

Rafeyte is now in Dubai, working for Emirates, and I know If I go to Lebanon, Omar, Iran or Jordan I'll be crossing her path again. She doesn't know but she's the inspirational woman of my life. : )

10 / 8 Do-ra-hais-mon

Just random pictures to close a chapter.
Probably, certainly.
You know guys when you're reading a book and you finish an act, a scene, and so you have this blank page with a weird illustration that's linked to nothing? This post might be that.
It's out of the blue, just like Doraemon is :)
What I like with pictures is that they're never exactly representing the present, even with the newest technologies ever, a picture is, especially because it's a picture, a "past", a "before", a something else. That's never you anymore, how quick you show it, that's already a reverse shot. Like in the movies. As soon as you can see your picture taken, that's not you anymore. As soon as you discover what you look like, it suddenly becomes erroneous to assume that it is you.
The only chance you have to know yourself, is to understand that you'll never be able to get nothing but the exact opposite, the exact reversed image, the exact Yang or your Ying, it will make the European realise they're African all of a sudden, just like the kid realises one day he is that other "old men" he saw in front of him all his life.

So if life is a reversed mechanics, let's get clever through silliness. And let's do mistakes so we can ask for forgiveness.

This picture is, by the way, the first time in my life a Kid asks me to take a picture together...
I still don't why she wanted that so much.

The search of identity is a madness that will make us miss the spotlights when we wanna sleep, and miss the abyss when we need to breath.
What illustration for this post would fit better that a non-sense mise-en-scene which we can understand, but actually not that much...

Crier et devoir me répeter

Miss Terre, heureuse
Miss Earth heure creuse
Mess Ardh preums deuse

05 / 01 Looking for your own footprints.

Hi guys,

How have been things going recently?
No one got lost anywhere? Although I'm not sure this world as a-land- ever needed the word "lost".
Come on, how could one be "lost" in a world with Boundaries, with Gravity, with Physics.

You can be lost in the Space,
You can also, I would say, be lost in the abysses, too.
I would agree to that.

But, be lost on dry land, be lost on Terra Firma, be lost on the face of the Earth...
Erm, let me express some doubts, raise reserves, (natural ones?) Sir.

This being the exact reason why I do not freak out where ever the hell I "land". (erm, haha)
But maybe also the reason why this happens to me that much.

With much love wherever on this small earth you are.

Olfa

4/27 Trash us, bleach us, replay us.

We're just colours, and no one will miss us.

We're just matter, a matter of time, and  in time we'll disappear.

In time the world will miss our colours,

But without feelings.

Neither for Mister nor Miss.

Just Maths, as a matter of fact,

Just a subtraction.

The same world minus our actions.

plus, more, more, less,

That same world, without your kindness.

Oscillating like the earthquake's needle,

Like the beating of your heart,

Like "Hot and Cold" livings.

Like "Yes and No" Sayings, "With and Without" breathings.

In this world, just as like as Out.

People didn't die,  they've just moved out,
From this tremendous life to one other's Night.

04/ 07 Negociations Skills: NONE (or even worst).

You think you did it, then:
"Wait, What?"

1/23 "And Nothing Else Matters"

I've made up this rough from the BMW s1000 and the Suzuki Sv650 (Faring and around the Fork)
So from my former bike and the one I'd love to have next. Allowing myself some liberties halfway with the design :) As for the colours I've been suddenly - for which ever reason - recently a big fan of the "White/Gold" combinaison... Surprising, as it used to be exclusively Red my whole life...

Hi Adults, Hi Teenagers,Hi Kids :)

Today is the 成人式 (Coming of age ceremony) day in Japan.
The best Day to see youngsters in Kimonos filling up the streets.
And each time all the Japanese supposed to have become adults this year (wondering lol).

This is a picture of a COA ceremony I have no right upon (the person who looks way taller than me ;))
But I found it really cool. Just pay attention to the faces, some are worth a "Where's Wally?"

See you :)
